The Fishing Lodge: Winsnes Facilities

The Lodge

Winsnes is a traditional family farmhouse. It is a large house dating back to the nineteenth century with several of the buildings going back to the eighteenth century. The farm incorporates several other buildings including the summer house, barns and stable block. The buildings are laid out in a rectangle leaving a pleasant central area with wooden benches and tables to relax in. We also have a tackle and drying room and freezers.

Guests are welcome to come and go as they please. Breakfast is normally served between eight and nine-thirty in the morning with dinner at six. Meals can be arranged outside these times to suit the fishing plans of our guests. Car parking is right next to the farm. Winsnes is located approximately two hundred and fifty yards (metres) from the river. Meals can be served at the river by arrangement.

HorseshoesAtmosphere

The atmosphere is very laid back – we encourage our guests to come and go as they please. Fishing talk is encouraged and guests who want to chill out and talk fishing can do so either in the dining room, lounge or outside in the courtyard.
